I know it's late notice, but if any of you folks who live in or near L.A. want to check this out...three of my films will be shown tonight. Here are details from the L.A. Weekly...

Echo Park Sonic Arts Festival
Get these sounds in your head and shake ?em around. Is it someway organized?
And vibrational? Then it?s music, and you?re the one who decides whether it triggers your mechanism. Friday?s lineup conscripts L.A.?s Eckankore, which doesn?t like to record lest the ultimate value of liveness be diluted; the Neolithic electronica rhythms of Tempe?s AA23; the equally loud DOG; and films by Charles Doran. Saturday, it?s Bay Area mutator of field recordings Loren Chasse, who can make you feel like molten lava is pouring into the sea right next to your face; Los Angeles nasty noisemakers Spastic Colon; Douglas Lee; the sensual loop massages of Mitchell Brown & Leticia Castaneda; and films by Professor Cantaloupe. (You?re right: Neither night?s films will recall Roadrunner cartoons.) After a careful search, co-curator Castaneda feels she?s found a fitting venue for the fest, in terms both of sound quality and comfort. Echo Park Film Center, 1200 N.
Alvarado St.; Fri.-Sat., Sept. 13-14, 8 p.m. (213) 484-8846.
